University of North Bengal is a state university which is located near Darjeeling in West Bengal. The jurisdiction of the University spreads over the districts of Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. It has established separate hostels for boys and girls. There is a health centre which offers free medical treatment and pathological facility with nominal charges. NBU has a museum which has a rich repository of collection in sculpture, coins, paintings, manuscripts etc. depicting the history and heritage of North Bengal.
